My first Fluorite was a tumbled green and purple piece—simple, unassuming, but unforgettable. I kept it by my laptop while writing, and something shifted. The mental fog lifted. Ideas flowed. It didn’t feel magical, it felt clear. Later, I found a cube-shaped Chinese Fluorite specimen at a gem show—so geometrically perfect it looked like a sculpture from another world. 

I placed it on my altar, and it quickly became my crystal compass. Whenever I’m stuck in indecision or spiraling in overthinking, I sit with that cube. It reminds me: focus isn’t force, it’s flow!

What is Fluorite?

Fluorite is a calcium fluoride mineral prized for its dazzling range of colors—most notably shades of purple, green, blue, yellow, and clear. Often forming in cubic or octahedral shapes, its geometry and clarity make it as stunning as it is powerful. Sometimes referred to as the “Genius Stone,” Fluorite is beloved for its ability to clear the mind, organize thought, and elevate intuition.  

Where It's Found

High-quality Fluorite is sourced from China, Mexico, England, Germany, and the United States (notably Illinois and Colorado). Some of the most collectible specimens come from Yunnan and Zhejiang provinces in China, where multicolored zoning and transparent crystals captivate collectors worldwide.
